Most German beers embrace the lager brewing tradition. However, “Alt” literally translated from German means “Old,” and Alt beers are brewed in the “old” style of ale brewing. This is a Düsseldorfer style altbier with a rich toasty malt flavor from the grain bill being balanced with 60% Munich malts and 40% Pilsner malt. The beer is then balanced out with German Magnum and Hallertauer Mittelfrüh hops.
